Fall Protection
Gutter Cleaning 1
One of the big reasons we at GUTTER CLEANING 1 can do what we do,
clean thoroughly, efficiently and safely is beacause of our fall
protection gear.
We were very thorough in making our decision as to which type of
fall protection to select. We use the best on the market today. We
are proud of our Miller Fall Protection.
The first component of personal fall protection is the body wear and
it is worn by our workers while performing the job. This gives our
workers an extra edge and the confidence to perform the work.
The full body harness is the only acceptable form of body wear for
fall arrest or fall protection. The body belt is no longer
recommended, and, as of January 1, 1998, most regulation governing
fall protection prohibits the use of body belts for fall protection
due to the concentration of fall forces on the abdomen.
Full-body harnesses distribute fall forces throughout the body,
substantially reducing the chance of injury. The full-body harness
keeps the workers suspended upright in the event of a fall and
supported while awaiting rescue. This also gives our workers the
extra confidence and our company as whole, a leading edge.
Our clients feel safe with us, knowing that we are fully insured and
also have workmans compensation insurance. We take good care of all
our clients and our employees and it shows. Safety comes first for
us and we can do a better job because of it.
By using fall protection, we have the ability to get right to the
rain gutter and clean it thoroughly, even on a two or three story
property or home. We have many ways of cleaning. Our extention
poles can reach heights of up to 45 feet and our 20 gallon vacuums
are capable of cleaning hundreds of linear feet in a matter of
hours.
When it has been very wet and moist out, it is very common for the
gutter channels to be full with gunk. This makes it a little more
difficult for cleaning. In this situation, a lot of the cleaning
must be done manually which is much more labor intensive.
Tree branches often can be found growing into and around rain
gutters. It is very important and common to have to cut away these
branches to stop them from damaging the gutters. Vines can also
start to grow in the rain gutter channel and can be very time
consuming to cut away, so it is very important to remove them right
away before they cause severe blockage.
